The title of this post isn’t meant to sound final in any way, EoE isn’t going anywhere, don’t worry. I just wanted to share some final thoughts before signing off for 2018.

By the time you’re reading this article (and at the time of publishing it), the Winter Solstice has just happened, Christmas is right around the corner and, before we know it, we’ll be stepping foot into the new year. 2018 has been quite spectacular; we’ve had some incredible music releases, awesome tracks to listen to, brilliant games to play and wonderful events that have transpired. It’s been an absolute pleasure to experience them all, and cover them right here on the blog too.

For me personally, there’s been some massive highs, and whilst there have been some definite lows, things have always worked out for the best in the end. I can honestly say, without hesitation, that this year has been one of the best ever. That’s partially due to how successful Epitome of Epic has become. The blog has boomed over the past year, and the reach it has made has been quite overwhelming at times (in a good way, of course!) From those that have shared articles far and wide, to artists that have reached out to me to cover their music, and of course, the readers; thank you all so much for making EoE such a roaring success. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have got this far, or have had the drive to continue. It’s my passion to share my interests and experiences, to help promote these amazing things, and to hopefully expose it all to a new audience. It’s not always been easy, but it’s definitely been worth it!

As we head into 2019, there’s many more exciting things to come. We look spoilt for choice in the world of music and gaming! I head into it with huge anticipation and excitement, for there’s a ton of fantastic things to look forward to, particularly in terms of events. In fact, I’ve got so much planned, that it’s almost daunting to think of how I’m going to fit it all in. It’s going to be a huge challenge (spoiler alert: I’m already pretty much booked up with events until next November!) The planning is going to be well worth it, as I’m pretty sure it’s all going to be awesome, and you’ll be able to read all about it right here. I’ve got plans to add new kinds of content too, although it depends on how much time I have, but I hope to be able to deliver it all to you. Of course, I shall only do so if it’s to the best standard.

For now, however, I’m going to take a short break. I’ve felt the burn recently, especially in the past few frantic last months (note to self; don’t leave the end of year stuff till so late next time.) Don’t worry though, because I’ll be returning in the new year stronger than ever. So until then, happy holidays, happy new year, and see you all in 2019.

Thank you all so much again, for everything.
